What lands on your desk.
Seven named assets, each one prioritised. Nothing you have to interpret, and nothing you have to debate before you can act on it.
One page. Decided, not a menu of options for you to choose between. Who it’s for, what problem you own, and why now.
What the homepage leads with, and why. The single argument above the fold that everything else has to support.
First, second, third — ranked by commercial weight, not listed as equals. Prioritised so downstream execution is straightforward.
Your facts, numbers, logos and partnerships put in the order they should land, so the strongest thing lands first instead of sitting below the fold.
Which capabilities lead and which get cut from the front of the story. Ranked, with the reasoning attached.
What happens after someone finishes reading. The next step, the ask, and where the current path loses people.
What to remove. Named, specific and decisive enough to action immediately — the claims, pages and features that are costing you more attention than they earn.
Built from your evidence, not my opinions.
The difference between a positioning document you act on and one that sits in a folder.
Before I write anything, I go through what you already have: beta feedback, sales-call notes, support tickets, churn reasons, analytics, and the objections that keep coming up. The positioning comes out of your own customer evidence, which is why you can defend it internally without taking my word for anything.
Most audits hand back a deck of opinions. This one tells you what your own buyers already said, in an order you can act on. If you don’t have that material yet, I’ll tell you what to collect and how — that is often the more useful answer.
More than a messaging opinion.
Most people who audit your positioning have only ever written about it. I spent a decade on the other side of the table: co-founding ventures, running operations, and closing partnerships at CEO level.
That matters for a small team, because the story problem is rarely just a story problem. It shows up in stalled partnership conversations, investor updates that don’t land, and a founder who has become the bottleneck in every room. Where it’s useful, the audit says so — and where the fix is commercial rather than editorial, I’ll tell you that too.
Behind it: a $100m UAE government partnership and a joint venture with ADX-listed Phoenix Group, both negotiated directly with their senior teams as co-founder of IOPn; Tipser’s content engine before Bolt acquired it; and narrative through NAGA’s $65m ICO on a Frankfurt-listed fintech in 2017.
Frequently asked questions.
What does it cost?
From €1,200. The exact figure depends on how much material there is to review — one homepage is different from a homepage, deck and outreach sequence. You'll get a fixed number before anything starts.
How is this different from the Sprint?
The Audit diagnoses. The Sprint fixes. The Audit tells you exactly where the story is losing people and what to do about it; the Sprint is me doing that work with you over 30 days. Plenty of people start with the Audit and stop there, which is fine.
We're pre-seed with no marketing hire. Is this too early?
It's the cheapest time to do it. Fixing the story before it's printed on a website, a deck and a hundred outbound emails saves far more than it costs.
What do you need from us?
Links to whatever exists — site, deck, outreach, LinkedIn. One short call if there's context I can't get from the outside. That's it.
Do you only do positioning?
No. Positioning is where I start because it's usually the bottleneck. The wider work is partnerships, investor narrative and go-to-market, which is what I did as an operator at IOPn, Megavrse and NAGA before doing it as an adviser.
Not sure whether it’s the story or the product?
That’s usually worth twenty minutes on its own. Book a call and I’ll tell you straight.
